Hello Coaches.
Baseball is my passion, and for as long as I can remember, I have relied on this sport to carry me through life. I have been playing varsity baseball since the eighth grade, and plan to continue to play through college. It is my dream to be accepted into a well-acclaimed university on the basis of a baseball scholarship. One thing that has driven me to continue playing is meeting other teammates and developing that relationship throughout the season. I plan to work my hardest to achieve the standards set for a college-level team.
Aside from baseball, fishing is another of my greatest passions. I have participated in competitions with my high-school fishing team for six years, along with Varsity football my freshman, sophomore, and senior years. My Junior year I ran Varsity Cross Country and our team competed at the state finals.
Throughout my high school career, I have been privileged to participate in the National Society of High School Scholars and the Presidential Leadership Institute. I have also been awarded a 3rd place in State Finals of Science Olympiad, thus receiving an $11,000 scholarship from Huntingdon College in Montgomery.
Apart from school and sports, I enjoy volunteering at a local food pantry called The Welcome Center, located in Millbrook, which is a place where families in need are provided assistance. Throughout the past two years, I have volunteered over 75+ hours, as well as over 50 hours of various community service. I have always loved mission work, and to further dedicate myself to new experiences, I attended a mission trip to Santa Clara, Lima, Peru. It was a wonderful experience, and I enjoyed the opportunity to minister to those of another culture.
