I’m a 16-year-old varsity baseball player from Anchorage, Alaska who is 5’10, 160 lbs. Baseball is the best part of my life and I have accomplished a lot with it already. I earned a varsity letter my freshman and sophomore year. Going into my junior year, I am expected to be the starting catcher. I was the third base starter my sophomore year and was the 2nd base starter during my 9th grade year. I played on the junior varsity legion team in 8th grade and was on a competitive travel team for 5 years before that.
What's unique about my situation is playing high school ball in Anchorage, Alaska, but I am fortunate enough be a starter on KC Elite National 18U travel ball team out of Lees Summit, MO. During the summer and for tournaments, I play for KC Elite. In 2023, I played on the 16U team as the 2nd base starter. It was a great experience playing against competitive teams from across the country and making so many new friends. I was invited to return for 2024 season and play on the 18U team as starting shortstop and pitcher. While playing for KC Elite, I was named to the PG All Tournament Team for pitching at the 2024 PG East MLK Championship in Fort Myers, Florida. I will be competing in many other tournaments in the summer with KC Elite.
My goal is to play baseball at a four-year college, ideally one with great school spirit and an exercise science or kinesiology program. Hopefully at a school near family, which are in Hawaii, Arizona, Kansas, Washington, and California, although I am open to many other places as well. I am excited to live anywhere in the lower 48. My dream is to pursue a career as an athletic trainer or professional baseball coach. I volunteer with Special Olympics as a unified golf partner and enjoy being involved in my community. I would also like to be a part of a college team that volunteers and does community service together.
My coaches have told me that I am a leader both on and off the field. I try to always have a positive attitude and help lead warmups and drills. I have maintained a 3.00 GPA while juggling my academic and athletic responsibilities. I am excited to continue my athletic and academic dreams in college and beyond.
