Joshua is a 2026 1B/LHP who improved his skills during the BF Select Training and Competition. At 1B he shows good footwork around the bag and can scoop balls. He works to keep the ball in front of him and shows a good glove angle. Made on-line throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a recorded arm velocity up to 72mph. On the mound he works exclusively from the stretch. He takes the proper stride length and lands square to his target. A 2-pitch pitcher he attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 62mph, and a changeup that he throws with FB arm speed. In live game action, Joshua worked 2 innings and only allowed 1 run. At the plate he hits from an athletic and closed stance. Has good balance to swing with a direct barrel path. In live game action, he reached base 3 times with 2 singles, and a base on balls. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

Joshua is a solid 1B/LHP who will graduate in 2026. At the plate is where he shows best through an open setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 57-59 mph. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Joshua has potential with time and room to progress his game.
