Kyle Duncan '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'1", 205 lb. junior at Ashdown High School in Ashdown, AR. Playing 1st base for the varsity ball club, I tied for the lead in homeruns with 5 and batted .389 my sophomore year. I was selected All Conference 1st team in the 7-4A division in Arkansas both my freshman and sophomore years. Outside of high school ball, I played American Legion with the Senior and Junior Texarkana Razorbacks where I led the junior team with 5 homeruns and batted .328. The hot corner, otherwise known as 3rd base, is my preferred position, but I can be used as a utility player. I am quick to react to almost anything hit to me, from slow rollers to hard hit shots that I have to take off my chest. The baseball field is not the only place where I like to excel; the classroom is where it matters most. I have been taught since I was young that next to God, family and academics follow. With an approximate GPA of 3.7, I like to keep my grades up. I would love to play at the college level while earning my degree, and I know it's going to be a long and bumpy road along the way, but I am up for the ride.
