Personal Statement
My name is Luke Bradford and I will be a 2026 graduate from Harding Academy in Searcy, Arkansas. I have been playing baseball since I was three years old and started playing competitive travel ball when I was eight. I have worked extremely hard to be the best I can be in baseball and in life. I train year round going to personal instruction in the off season and work hard in team practice. I also carry my work ethic in baseball over to the classroom, my grades are very important to me. Right now I am 5'6" and weigh 155 pounds. In recent years I have primarily been a RHP, play 2nd base, and transitioned to 3rd base during my 12U travel ball season. Since 11U I have been the go to pitcher in bracket play and must win games. My goal as a pitcher is to get strikes and quick outs so that I can pitch as many innings as possible, I have been very successful in my pitching approach and the mental toughness I have on the mound. I am a good switch hitter and I put the ball in play and move the runners and score runners, in short I do my job at the plate. Most recently I made a very good 18U showcase team as 15 year old as a PO. I had a very good fall season on the mound. I also recently made my my high school baseball team as a Freshman. We have a very competitive baseball program at school where we have won back to back state titles. The best qualities that I can offer a college program is my work ethic and my mental toughness on the mound, in the field, and at the plate. I look forward to practice and my goal is to outwork everyone at practice. I also always look forward to private lessons, it's during this time that I tweak and make adjustments I need to make me better for the next game. I would prefer to play for a college program in the South or Mid-Atlantic states, however I am open to any geographic region. The size of the future school I attend is not important to me, what is important is that I attend a program where I can contribute to the teams success, enjoy my collegiate baseball experience, get a quality education, and continue to have fun in the game I love. Ultimately my college goals as a freshman is to contribute to the team and program to the best of my abilities. I want to be able to come in and through hard work and dedication make an impact for the team and baseball program. I personally feel I could be an impact player in any school size setting. I'm going to work hard, be coachable, and respect the game for any program I play for.
