Personal Statement

My goal is to be able to continue playing the sport I love as I further my education at the same time. It would be a dream to be able to play college ball and pursue my passion. To get there is one thing, but I know that there is always more to be done. My goal is to receive All American honors not only athletically, but academically as well. This pandemic has been a blessing in disguise in a way. I’ve put on 30 lbs of muscle using the homemade squat rack my dad and I constructed in March, and I feel as good as I ever have athletically. I know there’s still so much potential in me and I know as long as I keep working the way I do, I’ll find a way to realize my dream of playing collegiate baseball.

Training

  • Elite Strength and Power Training
  • 1 year
  • Before the pandemic started, I'd been working with a personal Trainer at a top-notch gym since January 2020 with Squats, Cleans, deadlifts, and more.
  • Individualized professional hitting coach
  • 1 year
  • For Christmas instead of asking for stuff I asked my parents to find me a way to improve my hitting. They found a personal fitness trainer and found me one of the best Hitting Coaches (Jack Thompson) in the entire province of British Columbia (based on the fact he is the hitting coach for the top organization from 14-18 in the province of British Columbia. My Hitting has improved dramatically according to my personal coach. I haven’t been able to authorize a NEW Hitting Exit Velo yet as the covid came prior to me getting tested with the facilities shut down. I will resume private lessons once covid is calm and the facilities open up.
  • Dedicated Personal baseball training during Covid
  • 1 year
  • I always have worked out to improve and become the best. Covid 19 has not stopped me from getting better as I am doing a lot of tee work. We are also throwing and fielding a lot as well as hitting to Dad and brother pitched. On rainy days we field and sprint and do agility drills in our parking garage. I am better, bigger, and faster than I was before and will continue to improve.
  • Strength and Conditioning gains throughout the pandemic
  • 1 year
  • At the start of the pandemic when all of the gyms and facilities around me shut down, my dad and I built a squat rack on our back deck to continue my progression. I went from roughly 140 lbs at the start of the pandemic to 170 lbs right now, putting on 30 pounds of muscle and I feel as if this is as fit as I've ever been but there's still lots of room for improvement.
