Troy Pellegrini '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Troy Pellegrini and I am a Junior at Pal Verde High School in Blythe California. I have a 3.89 GPA and enrolled in honors classes. I am 6'0 and weigh 185 pounds as a 16 year old. I have always been connected to my family and my dream would be to see them in the stands watching me play at the highest level I can be. Baseball has been my passion since I was young. I have played baseball since I was 5 years old and immediately fell in love with the game. I try to better myself everyday whether it is hitting, pitching, running, stretching, or going to the gym. I also strive to learn something new each day and try to get 1% better. I am a team player and always try to pick up my teammates with the intention of being the best we all can be. So far this year I have 1 Home run and looking to add to this. Last year I batted .444 .600 obp with 21 stolen bases.

As a freshman I started on JV in the outfield. I was batting 2nd or 3rd in the lineup and had 12 doubles throughout the season. I batted .412 with a .637 OBP and 20 stolen bases. I started pitching on JV as a reliever towards the end of the season. Everyday I work on arm strength which includes band work, long toss, stretching, or seeing a private hitting coach. I was brought up to Varsity and we became CIF champions for the first time in school history. 

I have always believed that the hardest workers will be more successful. One of my favorite quotes is "It's hard to beat a person who never gives up"
