Johannes Jansen Granillo '27 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Johannes Jansen-Granillo.  I am currently a freshman at Foothills Christian High School in El Cajon, San Diego County, California.  As an aspiring student-athlete, I am excited to share my passion for baseball and my pledge to being an exceptional student-athlete at the next level of my academic and athletic career.  I am a young man who grew up in a household of faith and discipline.   Growing up in a military family, I have adopted a core value system of Integrity, Service and Excellence and apply these standards to everything I do in life... on and off the field.  My primary positions are the middle infield positions as I also pitch for my high school varsity team.  I consider myself to being a highly athletic player and because of this blessing I am able to play multiple positions at any time my coaches’ call on me to do so and appreciatively play any position on the field to help and support my coaches and my teammates.  With a positive attitude and approach, I always give it my all when I am on the field, no matter what position I am playing.  This summer I had the pleasure and opportunity to attend the 2023 Baseball Factory National World Series Training Camp which was a week-long event held in Vero Beach, Florida.  I had the opportunity and pleasure of working with coaches from all over the nation who helped me refine my skillset which comprised of improved mechanics with hitting and pitching, enhanced throwing velocity, speed, agility, increased hitting power grade and most of all, being a leader and great teammate.  My goal has always been to continue playing baseball while in college as a student-athlete for the college or university I attend in the future while also being accountable and representative of the college or university, my coaches and my teammates I play for and play with.  I currently maintain a 3.85 GPA average and would like to obtain a degree in business.  I take great pride in myself to being a team player, having a strong set of core values and most importantly being a coachable player at all levels.
