Personal Statement
I am looking forward to playing baseball as a college athlete. I started playing baseball with my dad long before I signed up for an organized team. As long as I can remember, I was throwing and hitting baseballs or any object that resembled a ball. My dad played college baseball at Long Beach State and I have been fortunate to of had him share his experiences which have helped guide me as a player. At an early age, I began learning the right way to play the game & the traits that all great players share. I have also been lucky to have played with knowledgeable coaches and talented teammates. Each individual has helped me learn more about grit, perseverance, being a good teammate and a better person. I have learned life lessons through playing baseball which include patience, communication, respect, and to be able to overcome adversity. Baseball is a game of failure. A game that requires someone to see the big picture, put your head down, and grind through the challenges it presents. Attitude and the willingness to pursue my dreams have led me to achieve the goals I have set for myself so far. I have many more goals which include graduating from a four-year university while I play the sport I am passionate about. I know there will be many personal, athletic, academic, and professional goals to achieve in my lifetime. I look forward to the challenges that are ahead of me!
