Andreas Hipkins '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andreas Hipkins and my academic/ physical goals include being an exemplary athlete as well as an excellent student. I have been training to pitch for nearly 10 years with various coaches and outside help including my father who was a pitcher throughout college and on the Phillies scout team. I am a well-rounded person on and off the field, I have demonstrated leadership skills in my work, in my sport, and in other fields. I feel what separates me from other recruits is my dedication to seeing growth in myself and my team instead of focusing on things like awards and the recognition of pitching a good game. My character on the field shows that I focus almost solely on performing to the best of my ability while looking to the next pitch to improve. I have learned to keep my head high and continue to strive to be the best that I can be through mental and physical adversity.
