- My name is Raymond Jenkins from Lakewood, CA. I’m a 2-year varsity outfielder at Long Beach Polytechnic High School. I want to continue my baseball career in college. I’m driven, a hard worker, a goal setter, determined to succeed, and coachable. My athletic ability gives me the versatility to play 1st base and all 3 outfield positions effectively with my speed, outfield velocity to throw on a line through my targets, and my aggression at the plate connecting with power driving the ball.
I have always worked hard in high school by taking advanced placement classes, being a top athlete, and volunteering in the community. I’m a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, Black Student Union, and a Student Athletic Trainer. Outside of high school, I’m a member of the Business of Student Success Program (BOSS) and Special Olympics Southern California Games Management Team.

- Camp designed to teach the different components of the swing; mechanical, mental, and technical. Based on the ability of the camper, the session will be adjusted to teach at the hitting level and aptitude of each participant. Space for each session is limited to ensure interaction with coaches and to give the coaches the ability to group campers in each session with like ability hitters. In these five session camps, participants will learn the same foundation work and techniques current and former LBSU Dirtbags learned when developing their swing.

- Infield Portion: Worked on drills to improve the footwork, hands, and throwing for the infielders. Goal: To improve rhythm while fielding the ball, and ultimately, improve the baseball IQ moving forward. Outfield Portion: Worked on drills to improve the footwork, routes, and catching placement of the outfielders. Goal: To improve the jumps, routes, and baseball IQ of their game moving forward.
