Personal Statement

I started playing baseball at 8 years old. I immediately loved it and have been playing ever since. The main reason I catch today is because of Buster Posey.  He has been and is an inspiration to me.  Being a catcher is similar to being a quarter back on a football team.  The catcher gets signals from the coach,  calls the pitches,  and d adjusts the positions of the players.  In short the catcher is involved in every play.   Baseball has a  unique combination of raw power, refined skill, and split second decisions.  It requires complete focus and perfect timing.  Baseball requires total commitment and discipline that I believe will help me in my future.  I am excited about playing baseball at the college level and I am confident that I will be an asset to whatever team I play for.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
