Hello Coaches,
My name is Adam Espinoza and here is a quick snapshot of me.
My current goals for my senior year of high school is to graduate with a GPA higher than a 3.2, have perfect attendance, and to be a leader on the baseball field. While in college, I plan to play baseball, get a bachelor’s degree, and after going straight into working on my master’s degree in Physical Therapy. As far as my baseball career has gone, I have learned valuable life lessons and things about myself. I quit baseball when I was a young kid and played soccer for five years. Then when I turned 13 years old, I told my parents I wanted to play baseball because I missed it and I felt it was always apart of me and my family. My parents were reluctant in letting me get back into baseball and they told me if I wanted to play baseball again, I would have to work extra hard and practice a lot to catch up on the years I missed and be committed. I said okay, lets do it, and since then I have been playing, practicing, and training on all aspects of the sport year-round. I’ve been blessed with great coaches along the way. From this experience I have learned that with God and dedication, I can do anything, and that I am nothing without my team behind me. I play for each teammate on whatever team I am on. My freshman year in high school, I played on the JV Football team and on JV baseball team. With our school being very small, we didn’t have a catcher on JV. That year is when I volunteered to learn how to catch and was the starting catcher. I even was awarded the “Team Before Me” award that year because I chose to step up for my team. The following year as a Sophomore, I was awarded the “Best Defensive Player” on JV as the catcher, I even earned the nickname “Pops” as the leader of the team. In my junior year before baseball season, I asked the basketball coach to work out with the team to get my agility skills up and worked on my footwork. That baseball season, I made the Varsity squad and caught behind the senior starting catcher, but still learned and observed everything I could. My team has motivated me to never give up because you can be influencing somebody without knowing it, good or bad.
As a person, I feel that I am honest, loyal, and respectful. My mechanics in baseball are very important to me and I work hard at the details of them. I get my strength from my parents, family, God, and the school communities I have been apart of. I do volunteer hours on a regular basis not only for school but also because it is good to be apart of change in your community. In my free time I enjoy cooking, working out, playing the drums and bass guitar, and listening to my favorite band of all time, The Beatles.
Thank you, Coaches, for taking the time to view my profile and read this summary of my life. I appreciate your time.
