Personal Statement
I've been playing baseball for as long as I can remember and making the junior varsity baseball team my freshman year was a huge milestone for me. I became interested in the game of baseball once I realized how much of a technical game it was. Baseball has taught me that I can do anything as long as I'm willing to put in the work. In high school, I want to continue to play baseball at a higher level while keeping grades near a 4.0 GPA.
One obstacle that I've had to overcome was breaking my leg just before baseball season in my freshman year. However, this experience has helped me grow as a person and has lead me to work harder on regaining strength and becoming an even stronger baseball player. Over my many years of playing baseball, I’ve learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and hard work. I want to play for a program that will benefit me athletically as well as academically. I believe that I not only have the talent to play for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make a big impact on your program.
