Benjamin Sawyer '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Benjamin Sawyer and I am a C/OF from Simi Valley, CA. I am 5'11 175 and I am a junior at Simi Valley High School. My goal is to attend a 4 year college to play baseball and study to become a firefighter/fire investigator. After college I will look to pursue a career in the fire industry. I am a good candidate for your baseball program because of my work ethic and win first mentality. I always have and will give 110% in everything I do and the same would go for your program.  I am different from other recruits because I understand the importance and value of a good functioning team and I have learned to bring those tools into my game. I will always put the team before myself and do whatever the team needs at the best of my ability to give us the best chance of winning the baseball game. Over the last year I have learned to adapt to new environments due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Adaptability is another tool I have added to my game that I think is very beneficial. Academically I am an above average student. In my junior year I am taking AP US History, AP Lang, AP Environmental Science, Honors Spanish 3, and Pre-Calculus. I have done very well in these classes and I currently have a 4.1 GPA. Thank you!
