Nicolas Ficele '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nico Ficele and I am a Senior at Simi Valley High School in Simi Valley, California. I am 6'3", 215 pounds. My primary position is first base, my secondary position is third base, but I have also played the outfield. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old and it has been my passion since my Cal Ripkin Rookie season when they started counting balls, strikes and outs. I am a competitive, team player and love the teamwork that goes into being successful in baseball. I have learned many life lessons from my coaches and the game. I have a strong work ethic and when I set goals, I am very driven and determined to have them become a reality. I am also committed to my academics. I will continue working hard to be a strong, successful student athlete through high school and college.

In 2019, I had the honor of representing my hometown of Simi Valley as the West Zone Champions at the Pony World Series in Washington, Pennsylvania. It was an amazing team building experience that I will always remember.

I will continue to work hard throughout my journey on achieving my goal of playing baseball at the collegiate level. I will be working hard every day to make that goal a reality.
