Personal Statement
Being the youngest child of a family of 6, growing up for me held nothing but the highest expectations. Why, you ask? My father, and my 3 older brothers all played college baseball. At a young age I began to realize what everyone is expecting my future to look like, but it was not until a few short years ago that I made it a dream of my own to play college baseball. When I say that I’ve been around the game my entire life, I literally mean that I could throw a baseball before I could walk (scouts honor). Growing up in Southern California blessed me with the opportunity to play the game I love all year round. For as long as I can remember, it's been eat, sleep, breathe baseball. Even though baseball has been my number one, I’ve rounded my athletic ability by playing basketball, football, soccer, rugby, raced BMX, and even gymnastics. As I entered high school, I chose to focus on baseball primarily while also having the opportunity to play Varsity Football as a Receiver/Running Back/Safety, and Varsity Soccer as a Mid Fielder and defender. In the year of 2018, it will be my 2nd year on the Varsity baseball team as a starter with hopes of a championship. I am an active member in the youth group of the church I attend. I take my schooling very seriously with hopes to further my education in the medical field of some sort. Although I am still young, I believe that I have the work ethic and commitment to do what it takes to play baseball at the collegiate level and hopefully further, God willing. I am sincerely grateful for the support and knowledge that my family has bestowed on me. Without them, I would not be the person or athlete I am today.
