As someone who lives in Colorado, playing summer baseball in Florida for the past three years has forced me to work harder and grow as a person and an athlete. It opened my eyes to what I had to do in order to be able to play college baseball. My freshman and sophomore year were great learning opportunities for me, because I was able to play varsity baseball with upperclassmen that had great leadership skills.
Because I’ve played on various teams with a variety of skill sets I have had to play multiple positions. I played shortstop, 3rd base, and outfield for my high school along with outfield, 1st base, and catcher in the summer. Academics are important to me and I know that in order to be on the field you must work hard in school. As a dual sport athlete with versatility and success in the classroom I feel that I can compete at the next level and contribute for your team.
