Personal Statement

Ever since I picked up my glove for the first time at the age of 4, I have loved the game of baseball.  I work hard on and off the field, and in the weight room and the classroom as well.  Even though baseball is my passion, I put academics first as I realize that one day my career will end and I will need to move on from the game.  In college I hope to major in business, as I am interested in the corporate world.

Through baseball I have made many close friends, formed many great relationships with coaches,  and I strongly believe that baseball has helped form the person I am today.  Baseball has taught me so much, which is one of the many reasons I love the game.  I have had the goal of playing baseball at the college level since my freshman year of high school, and since then have focused my athletic life on achieving that goal.  By working on my craft as a pitcher every day, I hope that I can make myself someone who stands out from the crowd with their work ethic and devotion to the game.  As a left handed pitcher, my goal is to not only outplay the batter physically, but outthink him too.  I try to use strategy as much as I can as a pitcher, and by knowing what to throw and where to throw it, I do my best to confuse batters.

My goal is to play for a college team full of guys that would have my back, and I would have theirs too.  My favorite part of the game is the relationships you can form, and I hope to be a part of a program that I can form as many friendships and make as many memories as possible.  Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
