Nicholas Taylor '21 Recruiting Profile

I strive to carry myself in a manner that reflects well on my coaches, my team, my school, my parents, and my faith.  I know that college will be a time for personal growth and development and I am committed to being successful both on and off the field.  I am thankful to the many coaches that have molded me into the player that I am today, from tiny t-ball to high school, all-stars, and summer ball on a collegiate-level team and I look forward to even further development playing college ball.

I am a team player and enjoy teams that understand and emphasize the importance of being a good teammate.  I experienced this first-hand on the 2018 15U Babe Ruth World Series Championship team.  We were a team of players from six different local high school teams who have grown up playing on various teams in our city.  Most of us knew of each other, but had never played together on the same team.  On this team, we emphasized the brotherhood first and it paid off big time as we went all the way through state, Regionals, and then World Series play to bring home the hardware to our county.  Our brotherhood made the difference at both Regionals and at the World Series as we watched the teams we faced in the final games fall apart and turn on each other when they fell behind.  Our team, however, kept it together and came back from deficit scores by building each other up and playing for each other.  Our teammates, regardless of where we now play, are and will always be a band of brothers who shared in a rare experience  of winning it all!
