- Stocky, strong lower half who showed above average defensive actions behind the plate. With quick feet, clean transfers and an above average arm consistently 1.95-2.0 pop times that were on the bag. Took two good rounds of BP with a short level swing with quick hands. Good barrel control, with some gap-to-gap power.

- Al Ortiz is a 2018 C/3B, 2B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends Cypress Bay HS. Medium frame with with room to fill. Impressed behind the plate during the catchers workout. Starts low and doesn't cheat, gains ground, quick feet, great transfer, short arm action, follows through. Threw 74 miles per hour down to second base and recorded a 1.90 pop time. At the plate he has a square stance with upright torso. Does not stride but still gathers to rear leg, quickly coils the front side, internally rotates the lead leg, hips slide forward creating separation. Quick lower half, good bat speed and shows strength at contact. Outstanding student. Named Top Prospect Team.

- ActivitiesCo-founder of HDS (Haitian Donation Sensation) -HDS is a non-profit organization my brother and I created. Our team of 7 dedicated students strives to improve the lives of Haitian Orphans by raising awareness, funds, and goods for a Haitian Orphanage. Caretaker of my disabled grandmother -On Sundays, I take care of my 95-year-old grandmother. She can't walk, see, or hear well. I accompany her, manage her health and paperwork, and I feed her. DECA -I placed top 24 for marketing in district competition. I fund raise and practice sales and management skills simulating a business environment. Part of Player's Trust Action Team -I served as a group leader, building a playground in Opa Locka, Florida. I also participate yearly in the Adopt-A-Meal program. Here, the Cypress Bay baseball team prepares and delivers meals for children in the Ronald McDonald House. UNICEF Member -I am an active 4-year member. I independently fundraised over $500 for less fortunate children all over the world. Nation Honor Society (NHS) -Students with good leadership, dedication to service, and academic prowess display these qualities as citizens. Kiwanis Christmas Charity Event; Distributor -I volunteer for Kiwanis Christmas charity event at Davie Elementary. I distribute gifts, such as bicycles, to less fortunate children. Helping Hands -I volunteered in food drives, collecting canned goods for needy families in Broward County.
