Personal Statement

My name is Sebastian Dunn, I am a middle infielder/relief RHP. I am starter starter and lead-off hitter for my high school varsity team. I also play showcase baseball for the Chain (Coach Trent Mongero) where I play middle infield and lead off.

I have competed in the Perfect Game Regional and National Underclass showcases and have made the Baseball Factory Under Armour All American team spring training to be held at Pirate City in Florida. I am a class of 2016 graduate. I currently hold a 3.7 GPA and am ranked 91 out of 312 in my class. My goal is to combine my baseball talent and academic achievements to play baseball at the college level and obtain my degree in business.

01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Pirate City Sebastian is lean SS that will graduate in 2016 with a ton of athletic abilities both offensively and defensively. Foot speed is solid as indicated by his 7.34 60 time. Defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / clean actions. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in attacking ground balls, playing through well, displaying soft / clean hands. He moves well laterally, displaying range and shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds / turns of the double play. Throws are accurate with life and on line carry across the diamond. At the plate, Dunn continues to shine through an athletic setup as he displays outstanding hitting abilities. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and is a plus situational hitter. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to load more and transfer weight properly through his lower half. He displays good instincts on the bases as he utilizes his quick feet well. At the event, he was 3 for 6 with a 2B. Mental makeup is outstanding as he has a great attitude, is a hard worker, and a leader on the field. With 2 years to further develop, Sebastian has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
