I have not stopped running since I started in the fall of 6th grade. I love the feel of my feet against the ground, wind in my face, and the feeling of knowing I am doing something I adore. The last two years, I have run Track in addition to Cross Country. Although I play Soccer, which is also a spring sport, my amazing coach asked me if I would run in the meets for several events. I agreed thinking it was a wonderful idea, not knowing however, that I would love it as much as I do Cross Country. Because of that, I now hold Lumpkin County High School's one mile and two mile records.
I love all the sports I play. I started team Soccer when I was five years old, and haven't stopped playing since. I have experience playing on both club and school teams. I have played for both the United Futbol Academy and North Georgia Academy club programs. I also attended soccer camp at the University of Mississippi. I had an incredible experience with many takeaways. I was able to see first hand a taste of being a college athlete. They also showed me how much work and dedication goes into competing at the college level. I loved the time I spent with the other athletes like me as well as getting to know college athletes who gave me first-hand advice.
Besides being a student athlete, I am involved in many organizations and clubs at my high school. I am a member of Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Lumpkin Youth Leadership. I am also a participant of the Experiential Leadership Institute through Camp Glisson, in which I am a day camp counselor at various churches in the North Georgia United Methodist Conference. I take all my commitments seriously and always strive to do my best and glorify God on and off the field, the course, and the track.
