Jacob Ferguson '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob Ferguson,  I am a leader, great teammate and good baseball player.  As a sophomore in High School I am currently 6'0" and weight 170 pounds.  Baseball has been my passion since the age of four years old,  and I love all aspects of the game.   From a young kid to now I have always been eager to learn the game, and hone my skills as a player.   Throughout my life as a player there is one thing that all my coaches have said " Work and play hard and have fun".  These words have resonated over my baseball life and still hold true today.   

I am currently training in the positions of Pitcher, Third and First base.  I don't feel limited to these positions as I am always eager to play and practice wherever needed.  Currently in the Pitching position I have developed a collection of pitches that has allowed my High School and Travel teams be sucessful.  When not pitching I am working the corner positions, which also have helped my teams earn success. 

At the plate I continue to be a strong hitter while developing myself to be an even better.   I bat from the right side, and have hit in from all places in the lineup.  I am currently taking private instruction at my travel ball organization made up Major League players, College coaches and High School coaches.  We focus on pitching, hitting and defensive work through the year. 

I am extremely movitavted to play baseball in college.  I continue to prepare myself not only on the field, but in the classroom as well.   My goal is to earn a degree while being able to play the game I love.  I want any College or Univesity that is interested in me to know that I want to challenge myself in the classroom, and on the field.   I look forward at the opportunity to continue my education, while being coached at a high level of competitive baseball.
