I like playing all types of sports, but baseball is the sport I love. I've been told that I am a natural athlete, but I feel like my dedication and commitment to getting better each day, each practice and each game is what will help me get to the college level. I am constantly moving and prefer to stay busy, so if I'm not playing baseball you will find me on the basketball court, swimming laps at the pool or playing golf. I'm playing on the varsity baseball and our baseketball team just took 3rd place at State. I know I have greatness within me, since I've had over 20 relatives play college athletics and even a couple made it to the pros. I’ve admired all of their hard work and feel like I have similar attributes to help me get to that top level.
Why do I love baseball? There is nothing better than being outside. I started playing baseball at about 9 years old. I instantly became the little league catcher, since I wasn't afraid to catch the ball. I was a great at catching, but I started to grow and the coaches eventually moved me because I could make diving catches and turn double plays. My favorite position at this time is 2nd base. I'm training regularly to develop my fielding skills and my quickness. You will see me playing in college and getting my degree in athletic training/sports medicine, so I can help others play sports at a high level.
