Dear Coaches,
My name is Carter Lippens. Since I was 6 i have been playing baseball and have developed a burning passion for the game. Throughout Little League, I learned about not only my love and passion for the game, but also the life lessons it teaches, which i believe has made me become a better teammate, player, and overall person in general.
Through high school so far, I have maintained a GPA above 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. I continue to make it a priority to put the work in academically and maintain my grades because I recognize that there is life continues once baseball comes to an end. While my parents are my biggest supporters they have always instilled in me the need to do well both on and off the field since baseball unfortunately comes to an end for every player, we just do not know when that may be, and therefore, there is more to life than baseball.
I know that my never give up work ethic and my effort to always find something to improve upon makes me a competitor, but more importantly it has made me great team player as well. I know I could add value to a program, like yours, because of my drive to compete and win, which fuels my teammates around me.
My goal in college is to pitch for a baseball program, like yours, at an elite level that has coaches, players, staff, and a community around me that not only makes me a better baseball player, but will help guide me in life and help me become a better person than I was before I came to the program.
