Personal Statement
My passion for baseball soared at the age of 9 when I advanced to the Regional Finals of the Scott's Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition which allowed me to compete at Wrigley Field. I loved the feeling of playing on a big stage, in front of a large number of people, and against top level competition.
That experience has motivated me to work hard to get to the next level; whether that was earning the shortstop position on a competitive travel team, my junior high school team, and my high school team. I am confident that my current hard work will lead me to a competitive college program that will further develop my baseball skills as well as challenge my academic aspirations.
I am an enthusiastic learner on the field and in the classroom. I am very competitive and hold myself to a high standard. I love interacting with my teammates and encouraging them to excel to the best of their abilities. I am looking forward to my 2 ½ remaining years of high school and to the process of finding the best fit for my collegiate experience.
