Personal Statement
Ever since I was a kid, my goal has always been to play baseball at the higher level. I always strive to be the best I can be on and off the field. My parents have taught me that it is more important to be a better person than a baseball player. I work hard to be both. My goal for college is to go to the best college for me academically and athletically. I always work my hardest when others aren't watching within my individual training. I train my hardest alone because that is when I know people can be sitting around doing nothing while I'm outworking them to be the best. I train 100% all the time so I can prove that I can play baseball at the next level. I've always been very competitive. I grew up with an older brother, and we always tried to be better than one another. Our parents told us that being competitive is a good thing, but you need to respect your opponent and their abilities. They taught me to be a good person, caring, and respectful to anyone I meet. Being a good person will make you a better athlete.
