Personal Statement
I am always trying to work hard in baseball no matter my situation. My 2018 season at Triton Jr./Sr. High School wasn't the greatest due to a torn ligament in the knee, but to show how much I cared about the team, I played through the injury. I definitely should have worked harder last year then what I did but I am going to make up for it this coming season. I am going to be expected to be a team leader and a workhorse on the mound as pitching numbers are low this year. I am always looking for new ways to improve my game and I offer advice to teammates when I see something that they could possibly do differently to help them improve. I'm a team player and I always look to be a teammate no matter the situation or the outcome. I know the coach will expect a lot from me and I am going to put in the time and effort to meet the expectations. When you get to meet with me and learn my character you may understand why the varsity coach for the Trojans will apologize to me for pulling me out of the games when we are down. I never let the score get to me and I always try to keep the energy up in the dugout. My teammates are brothers to me and I never want a brother to fail or get down on himself. I love the game of baseball and want to take my game to the next level.
