Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Trevor Schott. Originally from Clermont, Florida, I have spent 3 years living in Tokyo, Japan and the last 4+ living in Garches, France (western suburb of Paris). I am 6'1" feet tall and weigh about 175 pounds. The baseball positions I play are RHP, MIF and 3rd base. In France, I play on both my High School (American School of Paris) Boys Varsity Baseball Team and with a French Baseball Club – the Cougars of Montigny-le-Brettoneux. On my High School team, I am the starting pitcher. When not pitching, I am also the starting Short Stop. With the help of my parents and my High School Baseball Coach, I have been able to keep active year round with baseball. Weekly, I have hitting and pitching practice as well as working out twice a week with a trainer. Additionally, I participate in two other High School sports – Volleyball and Basketball. My biggest accomplishments so far were being selected for the All-Tournament Team at the International School Sports Tournament (ISST) the last two years and also being named by my coach as the MVP for my High School Varsity Baseball Team for the last two seasons. Another major milestone for me occurred this past summer when I attended IMG’s Wood Bat League in Bradenton, Florida. I threw a seven inning shutout in the opening playoff game allowing only two hits. In the IMG Wood bat league this year I was selected in the first round of the draft and was selected to the all star team at the end of the summer. In college, I want to major in International Business and am considering a minor in French. Having lived in three of the world’s largest economies, I feel this is an advantage for me in understanding cultural differences and also building a network of contacts around the world. My goal for baseball is to attend a university where I will get a large amount of play time and play at a level where I will improve and develop making a large contribution to my team.
