Personal Statement
My goal is to be able to find a school that both challenges me academically and athletically. My college courses and educational objectives are what I wish to prioritise as well as the dedication and devotion I am willing to offer to my team.
As a player, my strengths may seem to lean towards my physical characteristics, however, my game is strongly based on my technique and control of the ball.
Below is a letter of recommendation my current varsity coach, Xavier Benichou, has written. His email is listed under my coaches in my profile.
Dear Mister,
I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Louis Boulben , current senior at the American School of Paris (ASP) , as a new recruit for your soccer team.
My name is Xavier Benichou and I am the head coach for the varsity team at the American School of Paris. Currently I train Louis and the rest of the ASP varsity soccer team three times a week for an average of 6 hours on a weekly basis. Furthermore, I accompany the team during travel season where my player compete each week on Fridays and Saturdays against other European schools.
With this letter, I wish to recommend Louis as a player to join your soccer team. At ASP, he has proven to be an indispensable member for the ASP varsity team and a leader for his peers, and I am sure Louis will be a valuable asset for your team.
Louis is not only a natural leader but a brilliant player. I chose him to be team captain because he clearly dominated his peers offensively, technically ( +++) and tactically. He has a strong drive and a desire for victory which have helped his team soar to victory this season. As part of my team's training and evaluation, I asked recruiters to come observe the players during the year. Scouts from the Guingamp, Caen, Le Havre, Lens and Clermont Ferrand professional teams wanted to add Louis to their profession rosters. However, Louis has made it very clear he would like to continue his soccer at an American university where he can combine first-class training and professional level competition with a quality education.
To give you more background information about myself, I am a former professional player and currently consult for the professional teams in Saint-Etienne and Lens to recruit their new talents. Moreover, I also created a football talent school in Senegal and my own athletic management company and consult with athletes in France, Belgium, Portugal and Greece SMASH ACADEMIE.
