Carter Christoffersen '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Carter Christoffersen and I have had a passion for the game of baseball since I was a kid.  I am currently a Freshman at Camanche High School in Camanche, Iowa.  This past Summer, as an 8th grader, I was able to start on the Varsity team after the starting catcher was injured.  I was able to start in the first round of Districts where we won the game and advanced to the second round.  Unfortunately we did not win in the 2nd round.  I am now very much looking forward to the 2018 baseball season.  This fall I have been continuing to work on my skills.  I played in the Mount Mercy University High School Fall League in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  This gave me the opportunity to work on my catching and hitting.  I had the privilege to be coached by current Mount Mercy baseball players and received some great advice from them.  My future baseball goals are to play at any level of college baseball.  As far as being a student in high school, I am working as hard as I can to get good grades.  I am involved in an anti drug and anti alcohol group in my community.  With this group I attended a conference in Washington DC over the winter. I will also have the opportunity to go to Orlando, Florida in July.  My future career plans are to either be a police officer in Arizona or I would love to be in turf management.
