I want to focus on science while in college. I hope to have a career in something along the lines of criminal forensics. I’ve been taking extra science classes to prepare myself for the achievement of this goal. I would be a good candidate because over the past few years I have had different coaches and each year I have had to prove myself to them. Every year I was overlooked at the start of the season but once I was given my opportunity I quickly proved myself to be one of the top pitchers on the staff. I am not afraid of the challenge and i’m willing to put in the hard work and dedication it takes to be the best I can be. The things that separate me from other recruit are my work ethic, determination, and ability to stay calm under pressure. I go to strength, agility, and conditioning workouts 3 days a week. I also go to the field and work on hitting, fielding, and pitching 2 or 3 days a week. My academics also separate me because I am in high level AP and honors classes. I like classes that provide a challenge and avoid classes that I believe are too easy. Even in doing this I am still able to achieve a 3.2 gpa and will only need to take 2 classes my senior year for graduation, therefore I plan on taking some college courses during my senior year of high school. Over the years I have also developed good leadership qualities through boy scouts. I led a crew of 8 members through the many lakes of northern Minnesota on our high adventure trip last year to the Boundary Waters. These are the experiences and qualities I possess and believe they make me a great candidate for your team.
