Andrew Zimmerman '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andrew Zimmerman and I am a pitcher looking to play baseball in college. I am a hardworking student with a passion for the game of baseball. I pride myself upon my work ethic and leadership on and off of the field. In the classroom I take my responsibilities as a student seriously and recognize the need for a good education and the importance of good grades. I plan to take the ACT this December. On the field I was chosen as a 2014 team captain for my sophomore baseball team. I helped lead them to a school record 29-4 season by achieving a 1.75 ERA and a .372 batting average. Throughout my baseball career I have dealt with challenges that have taught me to persevere and have motivated me to work harder. This offseason I will continue to improve through my commitment to weight training, weighted baseball throwing and a long toss program. I will also be focusing on improving my pitching mechanics in order to increase my velocity.
