Personal Statement
My college goals and aspirations are to challenge myself in the classroom and to play baseball at a very high level. As a student-athlete, I am going to choose a major that challenges me, but also leads me to a career that interests me. I have always been interested in both math and science, so I am looking to earn my degree in either one of those fields. As an athlete, my biggest strength is versatility. I play four sports at Tipton, and I have started on the varsity team every year possible for each of those sports. Showing versatility on the diamond, I have played five different positions throughout my varsity career and have succeeded in all of them. Playing different positions and learning different roles at each position has made me a better baseball player. Playing four sports has also taught me how to budget my time. I take both academics and athletics very seriously, and have had a lot of success in both. I have found the balance between studying and training which has helped me greatly.
Baseball has always been my passion and I am looking forward to continue playing for as long as I can, at the highest level possible. The two most important things I look for when searching colleges are strong academic programs that interest me, and to continue my baseball career in a high level program.
