Personal Statement

I am a 6’, 165-pound sophomore who wants to play baseball at the college level. I've been playing baseball my whole life and continuously strive to improve my game. I always do my best to keep a positive attitude and encourage my teammates. I work hard on the field as well as in the classroom. I currently have a 3.74 GPA. I am a RHP and a utility player being able to play anywhere on the field.

Metrics: Arm Velo- 78 MPH (Was 76 MPH) Exit Velo- 79 MPH (Was 78 MPH) 10 Yard Time- 1.82 (Was 1.90) 60 Yard Time- 7.53 (Was 7.75) Broad Jump- 7 Ft 11 In (Was 7 Ft 8 In) -All improved as well! Notes: Hitting- Doing a nice job at the plate right now with his approach towards opposite field & his hip rotation in his mechanics. Main focus is to continue to work on his extension/bat path (Staying more direct) in his swing. Fielding- Doing a nice job with his throws staying accurate in the IF/baseball funneling into his glove/maintaining composure on tough groundballs. Main focus is to raise his arm slot for his throws/continuing to build his arm strength & footspeed. Pitching: Doing a nice job with his strike zone command on the mound/& his movement on his CH getting arm side sink. Main focus areas are using more of his lower ½ & finishing more down through the baseball in his mechanics.
