Ben Olson '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ben Olson and I am a class of 2015 student at Dowling Catholic High School. Baseball has been my passion for my entire life and I would love the opportunity to continue my baseball career at the college level. Dowling is a school with a rich baseball tradition, making five state tournament appearances in the last six years, and winning the championship in 2011. I had a very successful season on the sophomore team this past year. I earned a starting spot in center field and the number one spot on our pitching staff. I earned these roles by working hard in the off season, making sure I went to every workout I could attend.

In August of 2013 I attended a Perfect Game Underclassman Showcase and was named to the Top Prospect team. I do all my baseball training in the fall and spring becasue my winters are very occupied with basketball. I train with a former AAA pitcher and a former AAA/major league catcher to help improve my hitting and pitching. 

Baseball is a fantastic game that has helped me develop a good work ethic and some incredible friendships. I would love to attend a school with a high academic standard as well as baseball program. One of my goals is to be able to play baseball at the highest level possible, and I am willing to do just about anything to make this goal a reality.
