I have played baseball since I was 4 years old and it basically has been my life. I would love more than anything to continue baseball as a lifetime career however I honestly just really love the game. I am a very hard worker and will try my hardest to go above and beyond to do what a coach asks of me. I am a team player and have never been one to focus on myself. I actually could probably focus on myself more to be honest but when you are a part of a team I believe its extremely important to do everything you can for your team. I guess I could say I am just as caring of a person as i am competitive. Helping one another, lifting each other up, rooting for the team and other teammates in order to win. I believe an athlete has a certain responsibility to himself and his team as a whole. An athlete must be motivated above all else and be willing to work hard and have a great attitude as well. I feel that I have all of these things. I believe that I would bring a consistent hitter to the team. I have been told by many coaches and also believe myself that I am a diverse player. I won the award last year for most diverse player actually. I have been in many positions because I just find it natural to play them all and I do it well. I have played the following positions on our high school team. Pitcher, Catcher, second base, center field as well as right and left at times. I have even been put on third at times to fill in when needed. The only base I did not play was basically first. This primarily being because I haven't always been the tallest player. I am very quick when playing which also has usually been because I have a smaller stature and I definitely react fast and also tend to be able to think quickly which probably came from being a catcher for many years. My goals are to obtain a bachelor degree in sports therapy and also to continue a baseball career (which ever God has in his plan for my life). I know that I am very smart academically even though I did not give it my best effort through high school. I have always done well on test without studying but have learned that homework does count more on grades than most realize. I plan to work harder in college because I have realized my down falls and know my potential is much higher than the effort I gave. To be honest I put more effort into baseball than I did studying but have learned that they both are equally important. I hope that you would consider me for your team. Thanks so much!
