Personal Statement
Hello Coaches, My name is Trent Robinson, and I am asking for your assistance in helping me achieve my ultimate goal of playing college baseball. I have played baseball all my life. I played with All-Star teams when I was younger, and have played competitive baseball since I was 9. As a 9 year old, my team won the Ohio Valley Regional Tournament. I have been a part of the East Louisville Bats, Vipers Baseball Club, and most recently, the Ironmen for 2 years. My high school baseball career started early. As an 8th grader, I started on the freshmen team. As a 9th grader, I started JV and played some Varsity. My best positions are short stop, center field, and pitcher.
I have also played basketball most of my life at my schools, and for travel AAU teams. I feel like playing 2 sports all my life has helped keep me in shape, and has made me a well rounded athlete. It has taught me skills to make informed decisions, be a better person, a team player, and how to use my time wisely. I'm always looking to be a better player, work harder, and focus on whats important.
I am committed to my grades as well as my sports. I feel like my ability in the classroom carries over onto the baseball field. I have a high baseball IQ,, whether it's taking the correct angle on a fly ball, reading the pitcher to get a better jump when stealing, or knowing when/how to pick up a teammate.
Currently, I have a 4.14 GPA, and plan to keep working as hard in school as I do on the field and the court. I am committed to earning a college degree as well as playing collegiate baseball.
