Personal Statement
My name is Luke Pittman. I live in Livingston, Louisiana, a small town outside of Baton Rouge. My parents instilled in me to always be a person of good character: humble, obedient, and respectful. These qualities have naturally made me the type of player I am on the baseball field.
I don’t remember my life before baseball. I remember triple plays, homeruns, and strikeouts. The next play is always on my mind. For me, the highs and lows of baseball keep it interesting and why I keep coming back.
My experiences on the mound have taught me that I don’t fold under pressure. I love the challenge and thrive on being the guy who gets the job done. I don’t like to talk about myself. I want how I play the game, and the work I put in, to speak for me.
I hope to attend a school that prepares me to be successful in life after baseball. I’m not sure what I want to do yet, but it is important to me to find a school that balances sports and education.
