Zacary Hawkins '10 Recruiting Profile

I no longer pitch. I don't like sitting and waiting to play. I have been placed on 1st base with some outfield play. I hit 3/4 college season in the 4 hole. Summer Perfect Game Collegiate league in Glens Falls New York I hit in 4-6 hole. I have a 3.5 GPA at LSU Eunice. I had 389 Put Outs, 28 assists, 36 Double plays with 2 errors and a .995FLD% at Eunice. I started and played 1st base the first 30 games this summer for the Golden Eagles under coach John Mayott in Glens Falls. My grandmother is dying and I came home early to be with her. I plan to be a business or International business major and work with my dad in multiple countries to develop basic economic foundations in under developed cultures. I plan to play division I baseball. I turned down 4 DI offers out of highschool in order to play for coach Willis at Eunice. He is a phenominal coach and baseball mentor. I started 50 games at Eunice and played in 55 of our 65 games. I am working to win the national gold glove at 1st my Sophmore year. I am very hopeful a major DI school will come at the end of my Sophmore season who needs me at 1st. I would prefer to play SEC ball but will gladly consider any opportunity to move forward in my career. I have the dream of playing pro ball and I am working toward this goal but a completed education is key for me.

I have finished my two years with Louisiana State University in Eunice. We won the NJCAA DII World Series in Enid, Oklahoma.
