Personal Statement
I have strong aspirations to play college soccer at a high level while pursuing my career. My passion for the game is evident through my technical skills, ball control, balance, and game sense. Additionally, I take on a leadership role within any team I'm a part of. As a player, I excel as an Attacking Midfielder (number 10), but I'm also comfortable playing as a Left or Right Back (numbers 2 or 3) when needed. What sets me apart as a valuable addition to any team is my ability to not only grasp the coach's teachings but also apply them effectively on the field. I'm dedicated both on and off the field, maintaining a consistent academic performance with 3.9 GPA and a 29 ACT. Despite my role as an attacking midfielder, I recognize the importance of defense and strive to make it easier for my team by defending my area. I actively seek opportunities in the midfield to create advantageous situations, such as rondos and counter attacks leading to 2v1 scenarios. If these options aren't available, I'm quick to look for a switch or a drop pass to reposition myself strategically. I also work on creating space for my fellow attackers by drawing defenders out of position, thereby increasing the opportunities for my teammates. I am confident in my ability to handle the challenges that come with playing at such a high level. I recently earned a spot on an MLS Next team in Louisiana, which is an academy team that competes nationally. During my freshman year at Northlake Christian School, I averaged approximately one goal per game and was recognized as the state's freshman of the year in my division. I have also been part of ODP teams and made it to the regional pool. Furthermore, I was selected to attend an id2 camp, an exclusive opportunity for the top players, and received the highest score possible. In summary, I believe my hard work, consistent results, and leadership qualities make me stand out as a valuable addition to any team.
