Personal Statement
Earning the starting position at short stop on the Varsity Team and helping it win district my eighth grade year has been the highlight of my high school career. With my freshmen season being cancelled, I am continuing to practice on my own and feel I am still developing as a player. I am currently using this mandatory isolation period, to improve my fundamentals and overall athleticism in an effort to play baseball at the college level.
I am the five-time reigning World Champion in Karate and a member of the Jr National Team. That experience has taught me the value of hard work, commitment, and sacrifice which is required to compete at a high level. My eighth grade year as the starting point guard, I helped lead my Junior High Basketball Team to a 16-1 record and the Parish Championship. That season helped show me the importance of teamwork and taught me to be a leader. My biggest inspiration is my older brother who was challenged with cerebral palsy his whole life. He taught me to never give up or quit.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I look forward to competing at the college level and proving I have the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a two sport athlete and karate world champion, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team. Thank You.
