Camden Hood '24 Recruiting Profile

As a member of the class of 2024 at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, MD, I am continuing to develop my academic and athletic talents as I look forward to graduation and college in the near future.

I would enjoy the opportunity to play collegiate baseball for a program that finds value in me both as a person and as a player. I would like to contribute to the program with my skills, talent, versatility and calm demeanor on the field. I play all three outfield positions and first base but I enjoy pitching the most. I enjoy controlling the game on the mound, knowing that my coaches and teammates have confidence in me and trust that I will get the job done. I really enjoyed getting the opportunity to pitch two shutout innings in our state semi-final game at the University of Maryland this past spring. I'm hoping we can make it back there again this spring and win the state championship.

I am undecided about what I would like to study in college but I take my academics very seriously, taking AP and honors courses and making honor roll every quarter. I would like to find a college that allows me the flexibility to find my passion for a career after I finish playing baseball. My ultimate goal is to find the school that is the perfect fit for me academically, culturally and athletically.
