Ryan Kennington '17 Recruiting Profile

Welcome.  My name is Ryan Kennington. Thank you for taking the time to visit my online profile and read my personal statement. I am a high school senior in search for the right academic and athletic institution. I am a student athlete, work hard to excel in the classroom, the gym and on the ball field so I can become the best I can be. I am very excited about the challenges ahead of me. 

I feel I am a solid candidate for most teams due to my versatility, attitude, and skill set.  My versatility (speed, two-way arm, high baseball IQ & athleticism) has given me the opportunity to help teams in various ways that are always needed. My attitude (coach-ability, toughness, desire to compete hard and win) allows me to continue to grow as a player and a young man. I understand baseball is a game of failure, but I always expect to succeed no matter the stakes.  My skill level makes me a good candidate for a team because I am a solid player and have a lot of experience playing against top teams across the country.  I have competed in dozens of nationally recognized tournaments including Perfect Game GA, BCS Fort Myer 13U (National Champions) and Diamond Nation, just to name a few.  I have had the opportunity and pleasure to play with high-level winning teams (Northwest HS (Maryland 4A State Champion), St. John's College HS (WCAC Champion), Mid-Atlantic Red Sox and Dig In Baseball. (BCS 13U National Champion). 

I really enjoy having the opportunity to play this game everyday and reach the goals I set for myself on the ball field as well as in the classroom.  I understand that playing the game is a privilege and is something I plan to never waste. This is just an introduction to who I am. I would love to discuss more about who I am as well as learn more about your program and university.
