Personal Statement
I am a team player who is committed to helping my team. I know the value of hard work and it's my desire to be a leader, on and off the field. I am a versatile player/switch hitter, who is extremely competitive. I want to obtain a great education and have the opportunity to play at a college level. I have played baseball since I was 4 years old. Those years include club and travel ball, high school and more recently legion ball. I know what it takes to be a team player and recognize that nothing in this world is given to you. I think the thing that sets me apart is that I know how to win but I also know how to lose well. This year, my senior year, we lost in the championship game. I know that I laid it all on the line and played one of the best games of my career. We played a team that pitched an ineligible pitcher, so the game was played under protest. In the eyes of many of the fans, we had every right to be upset and act like sore losers. Our team held our heads high and continued to play as a TEAM. I have never been more proud to be a part of a team after that game. I know that my academics will always come first and that will be my focus so that I will have the opportunity to play at the college level. I look forward to the opportunity to show what I am capable of. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely,
Ian Klick
