Personal Statement

My name is David Meech.  I am a junior at Oxford High School.  My absolute goals are to attend college to further my education and to play baseball at the highest level.  I believe that I have many qualities to be successful in college.  I am a dedicated hard worker both in the classroom and on the field.  I have an average GPA 4.3 of in all Honors and AP classes.  On the field, I have worked to achieve many accomplishments like receiving the Most Valuable Pitcher award at the Under Armor Memorial Day Classic, and playing Varsity baseball as an 8th grader.  I personally have the heart to outwork everyone people around me, enabling me to push myself to the limit.  I love competition, the more of it, the better.  I have embraced every competitive opportunity given to me.  Last summer, as a 15 year old, I played on a 19U Senior Ruth League team.  I was the starting pitcher (complete game), beating Tatnuck, the defending champions in the semi-finals.  In the off-season I will continue to work hard and develop my skills.  I appreciate your time and consideration.
