Personal Statement
I am a player that is always looking to improve on and off the field. I am very coachable and willing to try new ways of doing things. Being a leader on my team is something that I take seriously. This is achieved through good sportsmanship and working hard every practice and of course every game.
My coaches have put their full trust in my ability to lead my team on the field. I have been calling my own games for 4 years. I have proven my ability to read the field situation accurately and have had great success getting the batter off balance. This is an important way that I separate myself from other catchers. Key statistics I am proud of are my pop time which has been steadily improving and the fact that I have not had a runner score from third base from a passed ball in five years.
Classroom work is also a priority to me. I currently have an over 4.0 cumulative GPA.
Playing collegiate baseball is a dream that I work hard everyday to earn.
