Personal Statement

I began playing volleyball as a 10 year old and was lucky to always be playing with older girls in my early club years. Volleyball is my passion and I truly never get tired of going to the gym and working on my game.

I believe that when you are looking at colleges, your education needs to be the top priority. I'd love to play competitive volleyball forever, but I realistically know that it's my degree that will be the thing that takes me places in this world. I want to be exposed to as many business classes as possible in college, as that's the area I want to pursue. Today, I'm interested in medical sales. I currently have a 3.97 GPA and have scored 1200 on the SAT. I take great pride in my grades and I am just as competitive in the classroom as I am on the court.

I've always been a 6 rotation outside hitter. I believe this is due to the fact that I pass the ball very well in addition to having a solid swing. Can I improve? Always. But I truly believe I bring a well-rounded game to any college that I would attend. I'm also open to moving to DS if it means helping my team win. I lead by example as well being positive, enthusiastic and vocal. I plan on bringing these attributes with me to college as well. Overall, I want to be at a school that consistently competes for championships.

My team goals for the upcoming HS season were to win our conference, our district and advance to the regionals of the state tournament. I'm happy to report that we accomplished every one of those goals! We had several seniors on our team which really helped us make our mark than this year! While I did not accomplish my goal of making all state, I did repeat as all conference and all region this year. Next year, I look forward to being a senior leader on our team and continuing the winning tradition we've started at GBHS!

Thanks for reading!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
