April 2023Personal Statement
My name is Gavin Wickham, I am a right handed pitcher and first/third baseman and I have a dream of playing baseball at a competitive collegiate level.What makes me a good candidate for any school is that I make sure I out work anybody on or off the field and have a better attitude while doing it, I maintain great grades and make sure I’m always there for my teammates if they ever need help.
One thing that makes me stand out from the rest of the players not just in my school but in Southern Michigan is that I broke my left Tibia clean in half. That unfortunate accident made me a stronger character and determined to come back and be better than everyone else in the area. I felt I proved that by winning the Hillsdale County All Star Nomination and best Pitcher for my High School team. I have very strong arm on the mound and have great fielding in all positions of the field. I enjoy Basketball, Football, and Lifting as well.
I hope to have a long career in baseball, and I am looking forward to whats next in my long career!

- Also on game changer only through half the season, my batting avg did go up to a .680 to finish the season, do not know how to add the link. Batted 4th, was the number 4 pitcher. Faced kids on avg who threw 60-84 mph. Did bat 29/29 to start the season. Was covid year. Where going to compete in the Chad tough tournament in grass lake and compete in the little league world series in battle creek but they where canceled :(

- I know its hard to take a word of somebody you do not know, did get stats from game changer, don’t know how to import the link. I batted 3rd and was the ace pitcher, Faced 49-70 mph pitchers, some kids in the 80-81 range, against those kids I went 2-4.
